I am running in honor of my grandfather. I was inspired to participate in this program due to my grandpa, Lakshman Reddy, who was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. I live in a community which has been very deeply affected by blood cancer and I want to be a voice for all my friends and family who have seen large amounts of loss. I hope to raise money for cancer research to lift up my community, but also to prevent communities from experiencing loss related to Leukemia and Lymphoma in the first place. I have been passionate about this cause since I first donated my hair at the age of six, and now I am aiming for something larger. I urge you to help me make this change; together we can find a cure!
